Women’s Imaging Services represents an experienced team of medical practitioners and sonographers dedicated to providing excellence in obstetric and gynaecology ultrasound.
Dr Diane Davies - MBBS (WA) FRANZCOG DDU MPH&TM
Diane Davies is an obstetrician and gynaecologist with a special interest in obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound. She completed her medical training at The University of Western Australia, worked in general practice for 5 years and then proceeded to specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology at King Edward Memorial Hospital in Perth. Subsequently, Diane trained in ultrasound, obtaining the Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound.
Diane is a sessional sonologist within the Ultrasound Department at King Edward Memorial Hospital. She has a special interest in gynaecologic ultrasound, particularly complex gynaecology.
Dr Davies has a long term interest in Indigenous women’s health and is Chairman of the Board of Mobile GP (Homeless Healthcare) which provides primary health service to homeless people and those at risk of homelessness. In 2014 she was inducted into WA Women's Hall of Fame for her work with Mobile GP.
Dr Luigi D’Orsogna - MBBS (WA) FRACP
Dr D’Orsogna is a Western Australian trained medical practitioner who has trained in paediatric cardiology in North America before returning to Western Australia. He is an experienced paediatric and fetal cardiologist who established the first Fetal Cardiology Service in Western Australia at King Edward Memorial Hospital in 1996. Dr D’Orsogna has expertise on all facets of fetal cardiology with a particular interest in fetal cardiac arrhythmias and structural congenital cardiac disease. He is pleased to be associated with Women’s Imaging Services and is available to assess any pregnant women with suspected fetal cardiac anomalies including fetal cardiac arrhythmia with fetal echocardiography. This also includes the assessment of pregnant women who are at risk for fetal cardiac abnormalities such as increased nuchal thickening on first trimester, the fetus with suspected chromosomal anomaly or significant extra-cardiac abnormality, family history of congenital heart disease, maternal auto-immune disease such as SLE or Sjogren’s disease, and maternal exposure to teratogens such as alcohol, anti-convulsant medication or lithium.
